Here's
the information you need to make it easy to plan your next event at
the Epicenter. You'll find answers to the most frequently asked questions
about Epicenter facilities, available equipment and logistics. And
a member of the Special Events Team from the City of Rancho Cucamonga
will work with you to make staging your event as seamless and successful
as possible.
APPLICATION
-
To reserve your date for an event at the Epicenter, complete the
application form. A completed form will
allow us to hold this date for you until deposit is made to reserve
the requested date.
AMERICANS
WITH DISABILITIES ACT (ADA)
-
All stages and platforms must comply with state and ADA requirements
(ie: ramps & handrails)
-
On
field seating configuration must allow for handicap seating.
-
The stadium has handicap seating along both the first and third
base sides.

Box office hours: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Monday - Friday)
CONCESSIONS
CONCOURSE
(EXTERIOR & INTERIOR)

Displays may be set-up on the concourse area between the softball
fields. Except during softball season, this is foul ball territory
for the surrounding fields.

concourse has three plug-ins for electrical power

ELECTRICAL

There are three 200 amp locations on the outside concoourse of
the Stadium

Inside the facility there are 200 amps, 3 phase 120/208 coming
from the 1st base dugout and 400 amps, 3 phase 120/208 coming
from the large scoreboard.

Special Events Area has 20 amps at 110 volts total available.
Outside concourse has three locations for plug-in

First Aid space is available at the Epicenter.
INSURANCE

Comprehensive/Commercial General Liability to include the following
coverages: premises/operations; products/completed operations
(when applicable); contractual, personal injury, broad form property
damage with limits not less than

Two
Million Dollars ($2,000,000) is required for activities/events
occurring inside the Rancho Cucamonga Epicenter Stadium.
-
One
Million Dollars ($1,000,000) is required for most activities/events
conducted on the surrounding fields and areas of the Rancho Cucamonga
Epicenter & Sports Complex
-
Workers Compensation Insurance & Employer's Liability Insurance
as required by the Labor Code of the State of California and the
Employer's Liability limited on One Million Dollars ($1,000,000)
per accident. The need for this type of insurance is dependent
on the type of event.
-
Comprehensive Automobile Liability Insurance with limits of not
less than One Million Dollars ($1,000,000) each occurrence combined
single limit for bodily injury and property damage, including
coverage for owned, non-owned and hired vehicles (including loading
and unloading operations)
-
The City of Rancho Cucamonga must be named additionally insured.

LIGHTING

Epicenter lighting: 4 light poles (110' high) for infield lighting
at about 70' candlepower. The infield is about 60' candlepower.
Lights are 1500 watt metal halide bulbs.

Softball field lighting: 8 light poles (110' high) for infield
lighting at about 70' candlepower. Lights are 1500 watt metal
halide bulbs.

Soccer field lighting: 8 light poles (110' high) and about 70'
candlepower. Lights are 1500 watt metal halide bulbs.

Little League field lighting: 8 light poles (110' high) for infield
lighting at about 70' candlepower. Lights are 1500 watt metal
halide bulbs.

All events will need a site plan. To better meet your needs please
include the following (when applicable):

and size of tents, awnings and canopies,
cooking/food booths, any displays and stages/platforms. All stages/platforms
must comply with ADA requirements.

This is dependent on the size and complexity of the event.

plan check is required for stages or platforms under 30". But
it still needs to be accessible.

Any
stage/platform 30" or higher requires a plan check (a ramp
or lift required is required for any change in height or grade
separation).

Plan
checks need to occur 5 working days prior (more complex events
might require more time.)

Tents
need to be engineered for 70 mph winds and Exposure C

SOUND
SPECIAL
EVENTS TEAM
-
To ensure a smooth and sure path to your event success, City of
Rancho Cucamonga has created a Special Events Team. This is "one
stop shopping" for planning your event.
-
The
Special Events Team brings together in one room everybody you
need to deal with for your event. Get all your permits and all
your questions answered at one time. For significant events, the
team includes event management, police, fire department, facilities,
code enforcement, building and safety, parks department, and risk
management.
STAFFING

STAGE/TENTS/CANOPIES
-
Tent/Canopy Maintenance Reserve Fee Minimum of $300 - $1,000/event
-
Fire permit is required for tents/canopies over 400 square feet
and review/inspection of on-field seating. Average cost of the
inspection is about $100.
-
Tents/Canopies must be engineered for 70 mph winds, Exposure C.
Applicant must supply Building & Safety with an engineer's wet
stamp and original signature supporting this 5 working days prior
to the event. We cannot accept fax copies. New point plan checks
are not necessary for stages or platforms under 30". But the stage
still needs to be handicap accessible.
